Vacationing in Vermont, in February, means it’s COLD! No better place to warm up then in the kitchen. So the kids and I whipped up these Chocolate Almond Butter Bars to satisfy hungry tummies.
Although the bars are cold (must be kept in fridge), the ingredients do need to be warmed up and cooked together. Oh, how good it felt to be near a warm stove!
This super simple recipe is filled with protein, healthy fats, anti-oxidants and a little bit of sugar from maple syrup, or honey. It’s everything you need to conquer a cold day playing outside in the snow.
These Chocolate Almond Butter Bars look delicious! I’m a little afraid to make them because I don’t know how I’m going to stop myself from eating too many at once. I have a sweet tooth, so I might have the need to make these every Weekend. Plus, I love the idea that I can literally just add the ingredients together. Looks so easy. Definitely doing this with my kids. I must try them soon. Thank you for sharing your yummy recipe.
Let me know if you try them. They are very filling because of all the nut butter, you might have some left for a few days! Would to know if you try them! Julie
